    Have recently bought a hydrometer
I know how to use it but would not know how one measures the ph at the stage of hooping and then after hooping etc.i have only tried when the curd is in the wey
How do I measure ph of the compressed cheese or any solids. My hydrometer is the Bulb type and would not know how to insert into a solid mass
    Love an answer 🙂

    Hi John,,
just saw your post so you may have it answered by now. A hydrometer does not measure PH – it measures humidity.
If you want to measure PH, you need a PH meter or strips. There is info on this site about PH meters.

    hope that helped
