Hi there,
I am looking at getting a hoop for farmhouse cheddar, and can’t seem to find info on size of hoop vs. quantity of milk. I can get my hands on a “1.8kg” hard cheese hoop, but am not sure what the 1.8kg refers to? Weight of curds? Final cheese? How much milk should I be starting with?
Any direction on this would be great.
